Meditation and HeartHealth

health fitness quotes

Meditation is a practice that promotes heart coherence. This means that your heart rate and breath are in sync. Your heart rate increases with each inhalation and decreases with each exhalation. The effect is most noticeable at 6 breaths per minute. This seems like a resonance point. If you can achieve this rate, your heart coherence will improve. You can also practice meditative breathing techniques, which include deep relaxation and visualization. This practice can help improve your mental health.

Certain cardiovascular diseases can be reduced by meditation, according to studies. Meditators were less likely to develop coronary artery disease, stroke, diabetes, high blood cholesterol, or high blood pressure. FAQ

What's the difference between a virus & a bacterium?

A virus, a microscopic organism, is incapable of reproducing outside its host cell. A bacterium (or single-celled organism) reproduces by splitting itself into two. Viruses are small, around 20 nanometers in size. Bacteria are much larger, at 1 micron.

Viruses are often spread through contact of infected bodily fluids like saliva, urine or semen. Bacteria are usually spread through direct contact with contaminated objects or surfaces.

Viruses can get into our bodies through cuts and scrapes on the skin, bites, and other injuries. They may also enter through the nose, mouth, eyes, ears, vagina, rectum , or anus.

Bacteria can enter the body through wounds. They can also get into our bodies via food, water or soil.

Both viruses and bacteria can cause illness. But viruses do not have the ability to multiply within their hosts. So they only cause illnesses when they infect living cells.

Bacteria can grow in their hosts and cause disease. They can infiltrate other parts of the body. To kill them, we must use antibiotics.
